As kids we would eat rice with EVERY single meal. My dad went as far as to ask for rice when my mom made pasta.

Consequently I had a rice overdose for life and almost never make it. Except on the rare occasions I crave my mom’s fried rice. Even though the above is my fun version of it (mom uses chicken and some Indonesian condiments) my “fun rice” is superduper yum nonetheless.

I made, as I always do, a big pot of it. So if no one knocks on my door for me to offer them food, I’ll be having fun rice the rest of the week.

(the above is sort of the making of it. There’s no real recipe. I used Uncle Ben’s whole grain rice and I always have a bajillion of garlic. Garlic is your friend)
