It was a bad day for Rabobank. Almost every rider hit the deck, extent of the injuries as yet unknown. GC hope Robert Gesink lost three minutes and at one point ex-teammate Peter Weening (now riding for GreenEdge) was giving him friendly pushes to try and keep him in the chasing group.
